Package design of the year 2005
During the national competition held on June 22-23, 2005, there were 65 enrolled packaging samples and packing materials evaluated in two rounds. We also took part in the competition with our container comprised of 4 small salamis KMOTRŮV MIX.
We were very pleased to learn that our container was evaluated as the "Packaging of the Year" in the category of "Consumer Packaging". The committee found our container to be a good idea for a family - type or gift packaging with sober graphics well fitting to the contents.

Participation in prestigious German competition
During the month of March, our company, KMOTR - Masna Kromeriz a.s., participated in a prestigious German competition arranged by the company DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts - Gesellschaft e. V.) in the field of quality products. A total of 4 products were entered in the competition. They included Paprikas, Saturn, Kral and Cesnekovy trvanlivy salam (garlic spiced salami).
Our products placed in medal positions in this competition, in which more than a thousand various hams and meat products are evaluated annually.
- Paprikas (Salami with red pepper and chillies), Saturn and Kral placed second and won silver medals
- Cesnekovy trvanlivy salam (garlic spiced salami) won a bronze medal
The testers are experts from the meat industry, professionals from scientific laboratories and other trained officials. The main point of the competition is a sensory test of the product, which since 2001 has been performed in newly equipped laboratories. All products that win a prize from the DLG company are manufactured from the highest quality material available, such as beef, fat and spices. We were very pleased by these assessments and we believe that for our customers, this placing will also be one of the priorities when selecting our products.
